I Do Not Have to Be An IT Person Anymore

I can’t provide hard numbers for profitability related to Diversicom's services, but your contract model and services do a few very profitable things for us.

We know the IT services expense every month.  It’s a flat rate, based on per-user pricing.  We Can Budget and Expect That Expense Every Month.  With our prior vendors, they charged hourly and the bills were sometimes outrageous.

Recommendations for maintenance or upgrades are made usually before deadlines approach or those services are at a critical stage.  Again, we can budget these expenses because your team is Notifying Us Before Any Situation Becomes Dire.

We consistently have immediate service.  It means Our Partners and Staff are Constantly Working and Billing our clients.  You also coordinate with our telephone/internet provider to ensure outages are not any longer than they need to be, that we are fully restored in a timely fashion, and any storm damaged equipment (from the service provider or our own equipment) is replaced immediately.

Recommendations for equipment are tailored to the needs of our business at Affordable Prices.  Your team understands what we do and how we work, as well as the volume of data we handle on a daily basis, so they know very well the types of computers and equipment we need to function at our very best every day.

We are never sold peripherals we do not need; you offer alternatives if a specific cost is too high; and your pricing has changed only once (or twice?) for a nominal amount in all our years of working with Diversicom.

Although I’m not sure we see any large profit from it, I do not have to be the IT person anymore.  I am able to Devote my Time to Managing the Office or performing work for a client instead of troubleshooting technological issues we run into from time to time.

Pre-Diversicom, I had to help with technology issues because there was a lack of quality service from previous providers and also it saved us money when I did the work.  Now that’s not a concern – I know we are not going to be charged an exorbitant amount if we have 5 service calls in a month, or if a problem takes hours or days to resolve.

Price

You Get What You Pay For

Our company utilized two other IT service providers prior to finding Diversicom.  One of the providers is the largest company of its kind in the Tampa Bay area and was bought out by one of the big guys in the US.

The biggest problem we encountered with our previous IT services company was the fact that We Were Just A Number.  When there was an issue, they always played catchup.  When we had a problem, we submitted a support ticket to their helpdesk and waited.  Although they assigned a specialist to us, he was usually unavailable, and we were directed to the next available tech.

To sum them up, that company was more interested in fixing the problem and moving on to the next caller than Finding The Reason For The Issue.  When we started looking for a replacement, our owner stressed price, but I searched for the best company and found Diversicom to Over Deliver for What They Provide.

Scott and his guys are a team.  They all are vested in the company with a commitment for success and Feel Accountable For Their Work.  You cannot buy that, you can only find a company with that mantra.

Strikes The Right Balance

Our previous IT provider was offering 24/7 managed services for a cost far exceeding what we are currently paying Diversicom.  And, yes, there are cheaper options, but you get what you pay for, too.

I think Diversicom strikes the right balance for us regarding full-service IT support and maintenance at an Affordable, All-Inclusive Rate.

The ability to have flat-fee managed services and support based on a per-user price is fair to both our firm and Diversicom.  And for that fee, we know that Diversicom is staffed with a Knowledgeable and Experienced Team.

We have yet to hear a “no” regarding any request or capability.

Monitoring

We Learned The Hard Way - We Need Monitoring

Having a dedicated team of professionals to monitor and manage our day-to-day in-office operations and offer help when we are working remotely allows us to Work Efficiently and Quickly to assist our clients.

Again, working with your team there is never a “no” or lack of solution to a problem we have or, in most cases, we caused.  I No Longer Worry that a backup process has failed or that a system is unattended.  The Diversicom team takes care of that for us and are ready to step in to manipulate those processes as technology advances and our firm’s needs change.

Our previous technology vendors were big proponents of fixing things by scrapping an entire application or program and just reinstalling.  Sometimes that took 10 minutes, sometimes it took hours.  Often, that method was ineffective because the problem would simply crop up again.  Although there may be instances that uninstall and reinstall are the best fixes, I never hear that as a default solution from the Diversicom team.  They examine the issues, research the fix (if necessary), and Provide a Prompt Solution.

You Don’t Appreciate It Till You Need It

Companies do not appreciate the value of Reliable Data Backups and Network Monitoring until the need arises for it.  Unfortunately, most businesses realize that they need it after something really bad has probably already happened.

When talking with an IT Services company about what it takes to build a Reliable Business Disaster Recovery Plan, it is much like talking to an attorney.  For example, when speaking with your attorney, you want them to ask the questions, point out concerns, but most importantly you want that attorney to be your attorney – just like I want my IT team To Be My IT Team.

I can monitor my own stuff, but do I know what I am looking for?  Can I see what a trend in the industry is?  Probably not, I’m just lucky until it bites me.

Reduce SPAM and Lower Overhead Costs

Before we secured Diversicom’s IT services, including their Proactive Monitoring, we had so many viruses and the SPAM was unbearable.

The Diversicom Team does not cram products down your throat.  Their team informs us of new and fully tested products that they have successfully used to help Maintain Our Security and Reduce Unwanted Emails.

Data Backup Without Monitoring is Useless

One of the key issues I wanted was security.  Security to keep the system optimized and operational.  Security to try and actively prevent network intrusions. Security and Reliable Backups to restore the system if we have an intrusion.

One of the key features of the technology infrastructure Diversicom proposed was Redundancy with Geographic Separation.  We have two identical systems that are synchronized several times each day.  By backing up our data offsite in our own Private Cloud, we are somewhat insulated when we do have an issue.

Backing up the data is useless, however, if the system isn’t monitored for a problem.

The monitoring keeps an eye on the network so as problems develop, they can be Addressed Proactivity, thus keeping our technology infrastructure up and running.

But more importantly, Proactive Monitoring helps prevents a virus from gaining a foothold that could be transmitted to the offsite backup which would result in a total loss.

Stayed In Front of The Threats
